    My ONE cat just lays around sleeping these days. Perhaps thats the differeence... one vs more then one?

    Maybe. We had to get the second one because needed a pet. He kept wanting to bite us and use us for a scratching post.

    We went to the humane society and couldn't see (skinny little) Chloe behind all the other cats in the cage, but we sure could hear her. :) After the initial adjustment period, they've been keeping each other entertained, sometimes at the risk of our furnishings.
