Poetry month -- Triolet

Triolet

It’s later and later when I sit down to write
The older the toddler, he takes up more time
After stories, songs and kissing goodnight
It’s later and later when I sit down to write
There’s a mountain of laundry to wash or to climb
And I must clean the house: it’s really a sight
It’s later and later when I sit down to write
The older the toddler, he takes up more time
