What’s the matter?
What is wrong?
Do you want a story?
A dance? Or a song?
Why aren’t you sleeping?
Why are you crying?
Do you think I don’t care?
Do you think I’m not trying?
Don’t you know
That mommies need rest?
To be anywhere close
To their best?
Now that you have
Mastered walking
How soon before
You start talking?
Will it been soon?
Will it be long?
Before you can tell me
What’s the matter, what’s wrong?
