It is the fourth week of school and I am concerned that T still forms some of his letters backwards.

Dear Ms. X –

I know T has an especial difficulty in forming his letters properly because he is left-handed.  And, oh yeah, he is in his fourth week of KINDERGARTEN.  You should be impressed that he knows all of his letters, much less than he can form them, even if some are backwards.
