Kindergarten Notes and Responses: The phone call

Notes Home From Kindergarten

Telephone Call From Assistant Principal:

AP:      Ms. K, I am calling to inform you that T urinated on a tree today during recess.   Another student saw him and reported him to his teacher.  He was sent to talk to the principal.  He’s in the office in the “reset room”.

Me:      Did his teacher ask him if he needed use the bathroom before going out to recess?

AP:      I’m not sure; I wasn’t told.

Me:      Did he tell his teacher that he needed to use the bathroom during recess?

AP:      I’m not sure; I wasn’t told.

Me:      Did he urinate in front of the entire class?

AP:      No, he went to the far side of the tree.  Only one student saw him.

Me:      If he has to go the bathroom, and his teacher doesn’t take him inside to go to the bathroom, would you rather he went to the bathroom in his pants?  Or is the problem that he tried to be private about it?

AP:

Me:      And what is a “reset room”?  Does it include ice cream and cookies?

AP:
