1. Once
upon a time, there was a Thomas named Thomas.
He was magic. He could turn
things into gold. He found a fish, and
turned it into gold. Then he turned a
little egg into gold. He turned a fence
into gold, and a car, and a tractor. He
turned a green bracelet into gold. But
he didn’t turn Mommy into gold, because then she would be a statue and she
couldn’t move. Maybe he will just turn
her hair into gold.
