Stream of consciousness poem -- part 57

Chapter 57

November 1, 2011 – No longer morning.

We drive
Farther down a road
I’ve never
Been on

The road splits
And I pray that
I’m on the right side
Of the split
Which is actually
The left

We turn
And drive all over
A parking lot
That houses
A Barnes and Noble
And several other businesses
But does not house
The Driver’s License
Office

Back on
The main road
We spot
The Driver’s License Office
As we are
Driving
Past it

I point
The Fire Station
Out to my
Little boy
As I make
A U-turn
On the side street
Just past the
Station

My son
However
Does not care
About the
Fire trucks

His cup
Is empty
And his snacks
Are gone
