1. Once
upon a time, there was a Thomas named Thomas.
He was still a little boy -- he wasn’t even seven yet – but he was
growing up. He was growing up so he
could reach the scary books on the top shelf of the library. But even then, he won’t be a man.
When he is
fifty-five, Thomas will be a man. He
will leave home and drive to California in Daddy’s handsome white car. And then he will live in a hotel next to the
Golden Gate Bridge.
